Window Cleaning

How we do it?

  • We use fully traditional methods (that means hand mop and squeegee with extension poles as needed, ladder available for higher floors), this process allows for reduced water use. Please note we do not clean buildings over 3 storeys or buildings requiring Aerial Work Platform / Rope access.

  • Our process
  • We typically work outside in for clients getting both sides cleaned (this can be discussed if client has a preference)
  • Exterior windows
    • Traditional eco-friendly window cleaning methods;
    • Utilising extension poles as needed (ladder available for higher floors and hard to reach windows i.e. window with a awning infront);
    • Removing cobwebs and washing the frames and ledges if made from PVC (we do our best to wipe wood frames but depending on age and wood we cannot guarantee result);
    • Interior windows
    • We use ammonia-free detergents and non-toxic products;
    • Tools: scratchless squeegees, micro fiber towel and step ladder;
    • Cleaning of PVC window frames and sills + cobweb removal;
  • Extras (can be included in quote if client wants completed)
    • Fly screen cleaning
    • Window/door tracks cleaning
    • Security Screen Cleaning
    • Power Washing facade and brickwork

Pricing

We cannot provide fixed pricing without viewing the property prior (we caution heavily against businesses that offer this)

As an indication a basic ground floor window starts at $12 per pane inside and out and then increases from there. So as an example a basic single story 3 x 1 home with 10 x window panes with no additional extras factors (such as items listed below) would be $120 for an inside and out clean.

Factors that impact pricing:

Accessibility

The ease or difficulty of window access affects the pricing. Furniture and decorations blocking windows or excess foliage outside windows can mean longer cleaning time and therefore increased price. Window location also makes a difference such as windows on a second story or above which require ladder or pole access, or windows behind awnings will also take longer to clean and increase price.

Condition

Windows left uncleaned for a long time can build up excess dirt and even staining. Stain treatment (if requested) requires special chemicals and heavily fouled windows take longer to clean. Excessive cobwebs also take longer to remove, as well as increased need for safety precautions from bites and stings, which all increase price.

Window Type

The average window is 1.5m or smaller, with 1 or no cross beams. Windows larger than 1.5m i.e. Shopfront windows and glass sliding door, will incur extra cost. Specialised windows such as French Windows and Glassblock Windows require different cleaning techniques and take longer.

FAQ

Q: Do I need to do anything before the service?

A: We will require access to your property and running water. Please, remove any obstacles from the area near your exterior windows, as well as valuables, such as artwork or framed photos, from the window ledges inside your home. Furniture and large item blocking windows should be moved away from window alternatively the cleaners can do this for extra fee.

Q: Can I have the window and door tracks cleaned, too?

A: Absolutely. Additional costs apply.

Q: What about the window frames?

A: The cleaner can wash the frames and sills, as long as they are made from PVC (we will do our best for wood frames and sills but cannot guarantee result if prior existent stains etc are present).

Q: Do you provide high-rise window washing services?

A: Unfortunately we do not clean windows located higher than three storeys.

Q: Can you clean other items such as mirror, shower and pool barricades?

A: We certainly can, please let us know when you reach out to us and we can discuss further
